Granny

"Into the woods,
Where nothing's clear,
Where witches, ghosts,
and wolves appear.
Into the woods
and through the fear
you have to take the journey"

As you may be wondering, this is a stanza from the broadway play " Into the Woods," and the reason that I have put this up here is not only because this is what my school is doing as this year's musical, but because I'm ACTUALLY a part of the play!
I went to auditions last week, expecting to get called back as narrator, because my family from Genuine Draft downt o H2 cannot sing so good. My strengths have always been speaking and reading, so I was in doubt as to wether the crazy drama teacher really liked my tryout. I thought it sucked really bad, but it just goes to show that you don't have to be a movie star to get in a play.
The next day after my tryouts, I went in search of the callback list and I was on it! I was so aghast as to why I was on there, but then I read the part. I had been called back for the part of little red riginghoods granny! A granny of all things. I was excited at first, about the celebrity life and the show business. But then it sunk into me that my best friend got the main role and became a snooty pants. that's right a SNOOTY PANTS!
I only have four lines, but am grateful for them because it was either that or not be in the play at all! and that meant no costume, no lines, no practices, and no acting. Dang that would suck.
I'm sure it'll be fun. Can't wait to get into a white nightgown and bonnet :)
Anyways, what I did today that's cool is I went to school from 12-3( teacher work day) and watched "Into the Woods," on the big screen in the cafetorium. It was 2 hours long, and the only thing I had to look forward to while I sat there, was reading over lines for an hour afterwards. but no! Not everybody was cool enough to show up, so we didn't get to go over lines. I was pretty bummed out. That's why for the past 3 hours I've been on the computer lookinng at night gown costumes on the internet from 1800's and practicing the finale song over and over and over again. I have a pretty sad life.
Also...I went to Shari's this morning for breakfast with Nirvana and Knard.
