So I've realized something today. ( I realize new things every day about myself) I've realized that when I understand the math I'm doing, and have a system that works for me...I absolutely love it! I feel smart for a change. But whenever I don't take the time to think it through, draw it out, and create a way to remember it....I want to burn it!
So today was one of those rare occasions when I actually liked my math homework. An example of a question was : Triangles KLM and UVW are similar. The length of the sides of KLM are 8+3x, 2x +96, and 92+2x. The perimeter of KLM is 476. The length of the longest side of UVW is 24+6x, what is the perimeter of UVW?
And even though I absolutely hated math up until now, (remember the passion for burning) I absolutely loved this problem! And all the other problems just like it. I had a system going on exactly which numbers I would divide in certain cases of certain other numbers....I pretty much dominated.
If you leave a comment with your answer I'll tell you if you're right or not.
*HINT!* ( Draw it out, solve for x, and divide the similar lengths by one another)
