So girls camp is coming very quickly!
You have no idea how excited I am. ?Although I'm going through a mid-camp crisis. I'm a fourth year! When did that happen? I always saw "the fourth years" as oldies. I guess the equivalent to a boy, is being a deacon one day and then waking up realizing you're a priest. Where did the time go?
So I'm pretty pumped for that to happen. Mom's looking after my chickens while I'm away because she decided she needed to work more than she needed to cook for free for a bunch of teenage girls.Oh well. That just solved my chicken care problem.
But what's different about this year of camp is that the fourth years go a day earlier than the younger campers and we head out MONDAY, and go hiking and sleep in tents the first night. Then everybody else comes the next day. ARo did the hike last year and she said it was pretty amazing and so now I'm psyched. Although it kind of complicates things a bit. I have trouble enough planning the packing of clothes and etc for the usual week of camp, but they told us we have to pack a separate bag with more overnight clothes and food for the hike the day before. Now I'm very disarrayed. I kind of wish I had the magical purse that Mary Poppins has where everything she owns magically fits into one purse and she can just pull it out at any time. That's what I need.

We never did a 4th year hike. I recall 3rd year being the most memorable because it was the year I met girls from the other wards. Oh and our ward down here had to leave camp early because of a "person that was of some concern in the area"...I have it on good authority that he was a peeper.
