I just finished packing for this entire weeks worth of fun at GIRLS CAMP!! It's one week out of the year where the slumber party feels like it never ends.
I can't imagine how boring scout camp is. The way F2 describes it, it sounds like all you do all week is, a] pass of merit badge requirements and b] don't bathe.
Is that really all that goes on? We do crafts, swimming, canoing, field games, pass off personal progress, play board games, skits, prankings, singing (A LOT), hiking, fondue, camp out under the stars, capers, and we bathe....regularly! Maybe it's just because I have JSi as our young women president, but if you don't bathe at least every other day, and don't wear deodorant....you get the "personal hygiene" speech. I've never had any problems at camp and had this speech personally, but she makes sure to give it the sunday before camp. And today was the sunday before camp. Good speech JSi. Good speech.
Also, because this is my last year in the ward cabin with the beehives, I'm making extra sure that we get some good pranking memories out of me. I wanna be remembered at the least. So while packing my duffel I left an entire compartment empty just for pranking supplies. I've got twine (it always comes in handy), two packages of water balloons, sticky notes that say 'PRANKED!' on them, and a bear mask my dad found at a garage sale.
I plan on using the sticky notes as a simple yet effective prank. While RH ward is at lunch we'll sneak into their cabin and plaster their walls and bunks with sticky notes that say 'PRANKED!' on them. With the bear mask we plan on doing some scaring obviously. Whether it be through a window with a light shining on it late at night, or jumping out from under the bridge with it on and grabbing peoples legs.
Yep I have thought long and hard about this. This years the year of pranks. I can sense it. Just a few minutes ago mom says, "So you're taking the bear mask eh? Whatever those priesthood holders give ya, really get em back! Give us a good name!"
Mom's so weird.

You're taking the bear mask...that's genius, I wish I'd had that at camp. Live it up sister. Maybe we can take it to the ward campout also.
Allen leaves for scout camp tomorrow...last year he didn't bath because he didn't want to do so in the river. He is excited have actual showers this year, everyone who is going to be around him is excited as well
