There I was, just sitting on my bed, doing my homework like a good student, when....
I saw a spider crawling on the wall right in front of me. Luckily I was doing my science homework which requires a textbook, and so I grabbed it and swung it right toward the odious arachnid. The sound made a huge THWUNK!
Now usually, my family is quite used to spiders, and we mostly just kill them normal. You know, smashing, stomping, probing, sweep it to death, or suck it up the vacuum. Spider Carcasses are usually mangled and scary to look at, so naturally I turned over my book to see what it looked like. It wasn't there! I checked the side I was holding, afraid it was now scraped onto the palm of my hand, and it wasn't on that side either!
Now, I'm a bit etchy about the whole blood-sucking, eight-legged, hairy thing, and so I was so relieved when I realized that there's another bed in my room. It was disassembled from a bunk bed to make two single beds. The only reason that I normally don't sleep in this other bed, and force my friends and loved ones to sleep in it, is because it's next to a window. Not just ANY window...a creepy window.
I suppose my fear of this window began 2 years ago. Or so. It all began when my sister F came to live with us for a couple of months. Now at this time, we were attempting to paint the back of our house, and so it was obviously summer. Anyways, F forced me out of my bed because of some odd reason and made me sleep in the bed next to the window. It was all fine and dandy, until it started getting darker and I had trouble falling asleep. I always over analyze things as being scary. You know, like the wind or creaky wooden floors, or doors slamming shut. It all freaked me out a bit too much. Anyway, my dad had been painting the house that day and was painting primer just above my window, so there was a ladder still there. It was summer, so the window was open. I don't know if you know where I'm leading with this, but we had no screens on our windows for a long time.
Ladder, leading directly into my room+ open window+ no screen+ creepy noises= Very frightened H2. Since then and forever I have been scared of that window. Last night I had to face that fear, by sleeping there all night. Strangely I had the feeling that this bed was bigger than my other one...until I realized that they came from the same bunk bed, so it was impossible that one was bigger than the other. These thoughts streamed through my head while trying to evade the memories of fright in my past. It worked quite well, and I'll probably sleep there again tonight, because my fear of a spider in my bed is WAY more horrifying than having a creepy window next to me.

hahaha - I'd forgotten about that. And thanks for the birthday package!
Are you saying all I had to do was force you out of the bed by the wall and I could have slept-in every morning with out the sun rising in my eyes each morning! F is a genius.
