My sewing career has sadly just begun but is almost to a close for this years musical. We start performances this Thursday and go through all next week. Mrs.B has all ready told me I'm in costume crew into the next senior performance ( i don't recall what it is exactly. and it's seniors in high school, not senior citizens).
Yesterday at tech rehearsal I didn't do any sewing except by hand, and mostly what I DID do was just hand sewing minor mistakes and eyes & hooks.
The King Sextimus from "Once upon a Mattress" has a variety of costumes. He even has more costume changes than his wife the queen (which is unnatural) and I had to take one of his royal tunic-thingys home to bedazzle it. Not with a real bedazzler like from the commercials but rather with some good ol' hot glue guns and some gold jewels. I just finished it now and it looks amazing. Complete with gold jewel shaped patterns all along the front-side edges along the black border. Once F saw it she said " It needs more glitter." This was ridiculous of course because I didn't have any glitter and the fabric was shiny enough as it is, but she continues by saying " Mr.Erickson always said you can never have enough glitter!"
I ignored her and went on my merry way gluing jewels in place.
That was yesterday, and today was when I finished it. Now it's hanging up in my closet all shiny and beautiful. I'm not sure if I went too crazy with the gold jewels but he is a king I guess.

when you said F I thought you meant the other F in our family...hahaha. If he thinks it needs more glitter than the play is in trouble
